There are two types of fatigue. The first is that feeling you get after a particularly exhausting day, which is a short-term experience. The second is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), sometimes called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, which is more long-term and can have such accompanying symptoms as muscle pain, joint pain and headaches. At StashClub we take both seriously. We recognize there isn’t a simple solution to CFS and that while cannabis can be used to mitigate symptoms, there isn’t yet a lot of research about its impact on the inexplicable exhaustion one feels when suffering from CFS. For more information about this, read our section below about the benefits of cannabis for fatigue. When it comes to that first type of short-term fatigue, however, we know there’s nothing better to combat fatigue than your favourite bud, like Moby Dick Outdoor Special for example.
Types of Cannabis We Sell For Fatigue>
There are two main strains of cannabis: Sativa and Indica. A fun nickname for the latter is “In da couch” because it tends to be more sedating. If you’ve had a long day and just need to relax, unwind and relieve some tension, an Indica strain of bud, edible or vape, is the ticket. On the other hand, if you’re suffering from fatigue but have to rally for the day, a Sativa strain may be the way to go as it tends to be more uplifting. We here at StashClub make it easy to purchase either: simply look under the product photo and if the bar is blue, it’s Indica-dominant and if it’s yellow, it’s Sativa-dominant. A green bar means it’s a hybrid. For Chronic Fatigue sufferers, it’s important to consult your doctor before introducing cannabis into your treatment plan. In many instances, you’ll be referred to a CBD, such as oil, because it doesn’t have any of the psychoactive effects you can expect with marijuana products that contain THC.
Benefits of Cannabis for Fatigue
The effects of cannabis for short-term fatigue are well-documented: marijuana can will give you an energy boost or provide you with the sedative effect you need to relax after a long day depending on what strain you consume. When it comes to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, however, the effects of cannabis are not as well-researched. This is partly because CFS itself is difficult to diagnose – there are simply no known medical causes for its symptoms. Plus, standard treatment methods do not exist. However, when it comes to the treatment of pain, it’s been proven that cannabis provides relief. Some doctors are now prescribing both topical and edible CBD products in order to treat headaches, joint and muscle discomfort experienced by CFS sufferers. Marijuana has also been proven to help improve sleep. Therefore, speak to your doctor to see how cannabis can benefit you if you suffer from chronic fatigue.
How to Choose Your Cannabis To Help Treat Fatigue
As mentioned above, the Sativa strain of cannabis has an energizing, uplifting effect for most people and is a great way to help alleviate short-term fatigue. If you are new to cannabis, we suggest trying an edible because, hey, who doesn’t like candy and chocolate? But there’s an important caveat: take it slow. Those who are new to marijuana should seek out a product that is low in THC, such as the Halley’s Comet Watermelon Jelly Bomb for example, and then consume half of one and wait for a few hours to fully feel the effects. The StashClub site makes it super easy to figure out what strain a product comes from and how much THC is contains by printing it right underneath the photograph. For those with CFS, again it’s important to consult your physician who will probably refer you to the CBD section of our website.
